About Us
Bill Gumula, M.Ed.
Welcome to the PsychEdTech blog, the home of educational technology integrationist Bill Gumula. Bill has been in a technology coaching capacity for the past seven years, mostly working with teachers in grades K-8. Prior to becoming a coach Bill was an instrumental (sometimes vocal) music teacher for fifteen years. In 2006, Bill was named the Vanderburgh County Outstanding High School Educator.
As a coach Bill has championed digital citizenship, presented extensively on G Suite products, and worked with numerous PLCs and individual teachers as they sought to meaningfully integrate technology into their curriculum. Bill is passionate about supporting teachers as they learn to place their learning goals before technological tools, and to be sure that when used, technology engages the student and enriches and extends student’s learning.
Bill is also an active presenter, having presented at local, regional, state-level, and international conferences. Locally he has presented at numerous eREV conferences, and has journeyed all over the bottom half of Indiana presenting at Summer Regional eLearning Conferences. At the state level, Bill has presented numerous times at both the Indiana Connected Educators (ICE) Conference and the Hoosier Educational Computer Coordinators (HECC) Conference. Finally, Bill has presented at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Conference, and hopes to do so again this summer in Philadelphia.
Bill lives in Newburgh, IN with his son Zander, wife Jeneen, and dog Arco.
